No other restaurant offers such a unique mode of transportation to arrive at your dining destination. The 2.7 mile tram ride takes you through several climate zones on your way to the restaurant. Dining at 10,378' in elevation with views of over 11,000 square miles is worth the trip in itself
But wait! The food and atmosphere are also worth the trip. View the fine wood-work and the gorgeous bar, while you enjoy our award winning menu. The lunch fare consists of half-pound Angus burgers, Salmon Club and other tasty sandwiches, or try the daily Quiche. The extensive dinner menu will satisfy the most traveled diner. From Prosciutto wrapped Sea Bass to the center cut NY Strip, we guarantee an excellent meal.
The Sandia Peak Tramway and dinner at High Finance is a must for any visitor, but locals also love to take a staycation and enjoy getting out of town and relaxing with a great meal.
We are now accepting reservations online through Open Table, for both lunch and dinner. With a dinner reservation and purchase of an individual entree (after 4:30) you will receive a discount on the Tram. The Tram does not offer a lunch discount except for reservations of more than 20.

With a dinner reservation, 4:30 PM and later, there is a discount on the Sandia Peak Tramway. To receive the discount an individual entree must be purchased. The dinner Tram rate is $13.00 in the summer and $10.00 in the winter.

We are happy to announce the winners of the Baillio's gift certificates. For the past three months we have been collecting entries at High Finance Restaurant. In celebration of our 30th Anniversary, Jeff Baillio at Baillio's Electronics and Appliances worked with us to offer $1000.00 in gift certificates for our drawing. Hundreds of diners came up to High Finance to enjoy the great food and views, and to fill out an entry for the drawing.

We re-opened Friday when the Sandia Peak Tramway, www.sandiapeak.com completed their annual spring maintenance. We invite you to come up and try our new lunch and dinner menus. Chefs Crews and Kanella have created a menu to die for. Please view the menus by clicking on the menu header.
During maintenance Russ worked hard on building new table tops. The new table tops are marble and do not require table cloths; since we will not set the tables with tablecloths for dinner we are shortening the time between lunch closing and opening for dinner. From now on lunch will be served until 4:00 pm and dinner will start at 4:30 pm. We will not be open Tuesday for lunch until after Memorial Day.
We still have the drawing for Baillio's gift certificates coming up, so please fill out an entry form when you dine at High Finance. See you soon!

Tram maintenance

Sandia Peak Tramway will be closed for routine semi-annual maintenance from Monday April 5 - Friday April 16. Because the Tram is closed High Finance Restaurant is also closed during this time period. The Tramway will reopen on April 16 and High Finance will be open for dinner at 4:30 PM on April 16. We will be taking reservations while we are closed for future dates, so please call 505-243-9742 and we will see you soon.

Chef Kanella and Chef Crews have a special Easter menu which will be featured from 4:30 PM till closing on April 4. The menu is posted soon under the menu header. The chefs have some great items such as: Rack of Lamb, Grilled Salmon topped with a blackberry mint sauce, Bacon Wrapped Pork Tenderloin topped with a pineapple shallot reduction and many more wonderful entrees and appetizers.

On Thursday Feb. 18 the Greater Albuquerque Chamber of Commerce performed a Ribbon Cutting at High Finance. This was to celebrate our 30th Anniversary and recognize us as new members in the Chamber. The Chamber Ambassadors were treated to an excellent lunch and joined in on the Champagne Toast. Members of the media and Louis Abruzzo, President of Sandia Peak Ski and Tram, were in attendance. Louis spoke about his relationship with the restaurant owners, Doug Smith and Russ Zeigler over the course of thirty years, and his first job out of college was working on the lease for High Finance.

Valentine's weekend is fast approaching. Since Valentine's Day is on a Sunday why not come up for dinner on Friday or Saturday? The crowds will not be quite as big and the food and views will be just as good. You might want to try Monday, since it is President's Day. We will also be open for lunch on Monday and there will be skiing.

High Finance will be open for lunch and dinner Monday January 18. The ski area will also be open Monday, so come on up and enjoy the holiday at the top of Sandia Peak.

We received wonderful service and three in my group really loved their meal. I was disappointed with my meal because the menu didn't state that the entree I selected had onions and peppers, which I don't like. The management went out of their way to correct the situation. We would definitely recommend the restaurant.
